A one-semester academic exploration of peace, social justice and environmental sustainability. Thought provoking class discussions, hands-on lab work and off site expeditions link coursework to what goes on in the real world. The Woolman Semester asks high school juniors, seniors and first year post- graduates to fully engage and take ownership of their education.
Sierra Friends Center is a non-profit organization committed to stewarding diverse learning communities and educational programs which weave together spirituality, peace, sustainability, and social action. Sierra Friends Center hosts the Woolman Semester, Sierra Friends Camp and visiting groups.
